For a little over five years, this was the favorite gathering spot in our ward after church meetings, Bishop Daddy’s office.
Months turned into years and here we are at the completion of his service. I am so grateful for our ward family, for all the prayers that have been offered in our behalf. I am so grateful for the opportunities that have been given to us, so grateful for the increased testimony of the gospel, so grateful to have felt the love of the lord daily and witnessed his blessings in our lives. I have learned, in greater depth, the realization of King Benjamin’s words from the Book of Mormon: “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God.” Now,... what to do with all Geoff's white shirts? ;)

I absolutely LOVE the picture of all the kids in his office. Soooo cute! I can't believe it has been 5 years already! Your ward was very lucky to have him as their Bishop. Heidi's husband was just called as bishop in January.
You guys are such an awesome family. Bishop Dean did such a great job and you all seem to be the better for such a sacrifice you gave for five years! We love you guys and can't wait to see where Bishop will serve next!
we heard the news. we just want you guys to know how much we appreciated all of bishop and your family's sacrifice and everything that you all did for us and the ward. we have truly been blessed to have been in a ward with such a great bishop. thanks for everything! i'm sure it'll be a nice break having him home a little more. thanks for your examples.
Wow, has it been so long already? I'd like to say congratulations, but I know that when my dad was released as bishop, it was with very mixed emotions. I hope you enjoy the memories and are looking forward to the next challenge to come your way!
P.S. Is the new bishop anyone we know? :-)
Laura: yes, the new bishop is Bishop Woolley. :)
Thanks for the reminder of all the blessings of having a husband as a Bishop. Love you, Hollist Shimai
We love Bishop Dean! He has been so awesome and done so much for our ward. I am so happy for your family that you get to sit together again and that you won't be waiting for him to come home on Sunday's to have dinner. Thank you for everything!
What a beautiful family you have Karol. I still picture you as that young lady going to Japan on your mission. I would love to see you and your kids. We need to get you and Heather together here this summer for a fun time swimming.
